WEIHERER BEER

Brauerei-Gasthof Kundmüller GmbH

Germany

https://www.brauerei-kundmueller.com

Named “Brewery of the Year 2025” by the specialist Doemens Academy, Weiherer has maintained an extraordinary track record for over two decades: 33 European Beer Star medals, more than 70 World Beer Awards, and 6 prestigious World Beer Cup victories. Recent highlights include World Beer Cup Gold for Weiherer Rauch (2025) and Weiherer Kräusen Hell (2024); its Zapfenduster stout and classic Pils have likewise been crowned “World’s Best” in their categories. The brewery’s commitment to quality is matched by its environmental ethic: all beers are brewed using 100% renewable energy, with no use of fossil fuels or nuclear power. The portfolio spans traditional Franconian styles — such as unfiltered, unpasteurised Keller and Kräusen with roots in the Middle Ages — as well as contemporary beers brewed with the latest aroma hops in collaboration with American and Brazilian craft breweries.

Available from us:

Weiherer Kräusen Hell

Best Kellerbier in the World at the 2024 World Beer Cup! Kräusen, translated from German as "curls," refers to the pattern of the head of beer during fermentation and an ancient method of carbonating beer. This light, naturally cloudy Zwickelbier is refined with green beer before bottling. The result is a delicious and refreshing beer.

Weiherer Pils

Best Pilsner in the World at the 2023 World Beer Awards! A typical Franconian pilsner, crisp golden-yellow in color with a creamy white, fine-pored head. Herbaceous green hop notes, crisp and fresh, open with a slightly citrusy aroma, finishing with a pleasant, slightly bitter aftertaste.

Weiherer Rauch

Best German Rauch in the World at the 2025 World Beer Awards! Impressive with its brilliant golden color and subtle, spicy, smoky malt notes, the smoky note pairs beautifully with the harmonious wood, malt, and bacon aromas.

Weiherer Bock Bourbon Style (Oak Aged)

Bock beer aged in American bourbon barrels is the perfect choice for those who enjoy trying new things. The rich malt flavor, combined with typical bourbon aromas like vanilla, smoke, and wood notes, contrasts with a light hop bitterness and warms the finish.

Weiherer / Cervejaria Bamberg Rauchbock

Brazilian craft brewer Alexandre Bazzo and head brewer Roland Kundmüller first joined forces in 2014 to create Rauchbock. It boasts a vibrant amber color, warm smoky notes, and is made with their own hops.

Weiherer / Fat Head's Grischbeerla

Light in alcohol, yet rich in aromas. A fruity, hoppy Session IPA brewed with Sultana, Cascade, Cashmere, Sabro, and Cryopop hops. This is the latest collaboration with Fat Head's Brewery in Ohio.

Weiherer Hopfenweizen

A classic top-fermented beer with a distinctive hoppy edge: Weiherer Hopfenweizen is infused with Polaris, Cascade, and Citra hops, impressing with its fruity aroma and flavor. Light and sparkling.

Weiherer / Cervejaria Bamberg Zapfenduster

This rich, black imperial stout, with its distinctive smoky malt character, is incredibly smooth and velvety on the palate. The aroma is dominated by dark chocolate and freshly brewed coffee. German solidity and Brazilian fire in one beer—it's a must-try!

Weiherer Weizenbock (dry-hopped)

This is a robust wheat beer with a beautiful, cloudy, luminous amber color. Notes of ripe orange, banana, and caramel are immediately apparent. Malt and hops create a sweet, refreshing interplay of aromas: caramel and lemon, ripe plum and grapefruit. The strength of the bockbeer gives this style a long, warming finish.

Weiherer Schwaerzla

A fine, creamy head against a rich, black, top-fermented beer. Subtle notes of roasted coffee and dried plums. On the palate: dark chocolate and dried raisins, with a pleasant bitterness. Aromas of caramel, roasted and specialty malts, and a creamy texture.

Weiherer / Fat Head's Imperial IPA

This imperial IPA was created in collaboration with breweries from Ohio and Bamberg. The hop aroma reveals its full power: grapefruit, passionfruit, and pine, which continue on the palate, merging with soft caramel notes.
